What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and the information you choose to provide in your student profile (name, university, major, year). When you use the AI Tutor, we store the messages in that conversation so you can continue where you left off.

If you upload PDFs or lecture slides, those files are stored securely and associated only with your account.

How we use your data

• To provide the service — your course material is used to answer your questions in the AI Tutor.
• To improve your experience — deadlines and courses you add are used to build your study plans.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your uploaded files or conversations to train AI models.

AI and uploaded content

Your uploaded PDFs and messages are sent to AI providers (currently Groq) to generate responses. These providers process the content to return an answer, and are contractually prohibited from using your data for training. We keep your files and conversations on our servers only as long as your account is active.

Data storage

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) on servers in the EU. Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage. Both are encrypted at rest and in transit.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
